SPARK TEL AVIV is a mentoring program created to accelerate scientific discoveries, aiming to increase the impact of academic inventions for the benefit of society.
Our mission is to assist researchers from Tel Aviv University and affiliated hospitals in overcoming challenges related to translating their research discoveries into new treatments for diseases. The Repurposing Track aims to support the transition from academic proof-of-concept research to robust preclinical and clinical studies that meet industry standards.

Repurposing Track:
Repurposing Track offers grants for the development of approved or investigational drugs that are outside the scope of the original medical indication.
The program will support expenses needed for taking the project toward clinical study, including pre-clinical studies, patient profiling, regulatory consultancy, clinical trial protocol development, product design, and efforts required for clinical readiness.
Awarded projects will receive milestone-based funding for two years, up to $100,000 per project/year. Funded projects will also receive ongoing mentorship, access to expert advisors, and educational programs throughout all stages of product development.
